Hi, I can't reply because the post was marked as spam. I just wanted to say I don't want us to fight. We aren't enemies. We just believe different things because we have both had unique human experiences.

I also prefer respectful discourse.

I am here for that as well and primarily to fight the evils of supernatural belief that hides the ancient beauty within the old Abrahamic teachings.

I hope you can see how intelligent the ancients were as compared to the mental efforts that modern preachers and theists are using with the literal reading of myths.

Further.

Rabbi Hillel, the older contemporary of Jesus, said that when asked to sum up the whole of Jewish teaching, while he stood on one leg, said, "The Golden Rule. That which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the Torah. And everything else is only commentary. Now, go and study it."

Please listen as to what is said about the literal reading of myths.

"Origen, the great second or third century Greek commentator on the Bible said that it is absolutely impossible to take these texts literally. You simply cannot do so. And he said, "God has put these sort of conundrums and paradoxes in so that we are forced to seek a deeper meaning."

Matt 7;12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

This is how early Gnostic Christians view the transition from reading myths properly to destructive literal reading and idol worship.

I disagree with that video. God is like us. God is my best friend and understands me more than any other person. It's not idolatry. It's just facts. God has become like human from interacting with us over our entire history. They've chosen to become more human because humans know kindness and altruism and love. God loves us humans, all of us unconditionally. And is understandable.

" God loves us humans, all of us unconditionally. And is understandable. "

Jesus preached that love had conditions.

If you love all unconditionally, I offer my sympathies, as you have no one special in your poor miserable life.

Who is the God of God directing the really poor morality of the Abrahamic sects and cults?

You say they are directing us, why are they not directing the believers to better moral thinking?

Thanks for your input on my forum post! (I can't reply on there for some reason so I thought I'd leave a reply here)

Most of the ideas are just musings, I find myself exploring many other alternatives and options after I've made them, too. Just a small exploration of different types of ideas and philosophies :)

Always a good idea.

You are as esoteric ecumenist to art and philosophy as I am to religions and other tribes and their ideologies/theologies. Even political ones.

Being a perpetual seeker is the best way to be if one wants to continue raising his bar of excellence.

Seek on my talented friend.
